Mahindra XUV 800 EV
According to reports, on August 15, Mahindra will introduce the XUV800 Electric, which will be based on a dedicated EV platform. It will be big in size and there will be huge space available in XUV 800 EV It is also believed that it can be bigger than the XUV 700.
If reports are to be believed, Mahindra will source the battery cells and electric motors for the new XUV800 from Volkswagen's MEB electric platform, while the cells will be imported from Volkswagen's facility in Germany. In addition, the battery pack and battery system, along with all the critical cycle parts, will be managed at the company's Chakan plant in Maharashtra.
Range of XUV 800 EV
It has also been learned that a bigger battery pack will be included in Mahindra's new XUV800 which will give a range of up to 500km on a full charge. Mahindra may offer multiple battery configurations with this. This new model may come with 4X4.
Talking about the features, the new XUV800 is expected to get a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging pad, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered seats and 360-degree camera.
Mahindra 5EV model introduced on 15 th Aug
The 5 models that the company is going to introduce on August 15 will also have an XUV700 which will come in a new avatar. Its code name is W610. The XUV700 will also be an electric model which may come with new features though it will have the same 2.75m wheelbase.
